Arch Cape Beach
Arch Cape, OR
Arch Cape is a small, unincorporated community between Cannon Beach and Manzanita, and its beach is the kind of place locals from both towns quietly prefer over the busier stops on either side. The cape itself, a small conical headland, marks the south end of the sand that runs down from Cove Beach.
Quiet and scenic simply because so few visitors know to stop here, though there's genuinely nothing in town to build a day around beyond the sand itself.
How we score beachesThere's no real commercial center here, so bring what you need. That's also exactly why the beach stays quiet.
Limited free parking near the Arch Cape Creek bridge off Highway 101.
A short, mostly flat path leads from the road to the sand.
Leashed dogs are allowed on the beach.
Fall through spring brings the heaviest rain on this part of the coast, so June through September remains the most reliable window for a dry beach day.
