Baby Beach

Baby Beach sits on the quieter, western edge of Poipu, a shallow, reef protected pool that lives up to its name for how safe it stays for the smallest kids in the water. There's no real surf or current to speak of here, just a calm lagoon backed by a handful of beachfront homes.
About as safe a swim as exists on Kauai for toddlers, but the tiny, unmarked parking area is the one thing that keeps it from being busier.
How we score beachesArrive before ten if you want the small parking area. There's no overflow lot, and once it's full most people give up and drive on to Poipu Beach Park instead.
A handful of spots line the road near the beach access, with no dedicated lot and nothing more once they're taken.
A short sandy path leads from the road to the beach, flat and easy, though there's no paved surface.
The reef keeps this calm nearly year round, one of the few Kauai beaches where the season barely changes the conditions for wading with kids.
