Beach Point Beach

Truro, MA

ScenicUncrowded

Beach Point Beach sits on the bay side of Shore Road in North Truro, a small, rocky shore lined with seaweed where the view runs across Cape Cod Bay to Provincetown Harbor and the Pilgrim Monument. You'll want sturdy shoes for the stones. The lot is small and the crowds are light, so it's a good place to sit with a book and watch the boats.

The Provincetown Harbor view and free parking are real draws, but a rocky, weedy shore and no lifeguard keep it more of a viewpoint than a swim beach.

How we score beaches
Local Tip

Come toward the end of the day when the light turns gold across the harbor, and the monument stands out clearly on the far shore.

Parking

A small dirt lot of 16 spaces serves the beach, and the town does not require a parking sticker. Handicap parking is marked.

Accessibility

The shore is rocky and uneven, and the town does not list the beach itself as handicap accessible even though handicap parking is provided.

Weather & the best time to visit

Summer is the easy season, with the bay at its warmest in August. Fall evenings are clear and cool, and a good time for the harbor view.
