Bethany Beach calls itself one of Delaware's Quiet Resorts, a family town without Dewey's bar scene or Rehoboth's boardwalk crowds, just a compact downtown and full-time lifeguards through the whole summer season. The boardwalk here is short and low-key, built for a stroll rather than a strip of arcades.
Genuinely quieter and more family focused than its nightlife-heavy neighbor Dewey, though the limited public parking makes a summer day trip harder to plan than it should be.
