Bodega Head

Bodega Head is the dramatic headland at the end of the peninsula, part of a state marine reserve with views out to Bodega Rock and, on clear days, north toward Tomales Point. A trail from here runs three miles south to Salmon Creek Beach for anyone who wants to turn the headland into a longer hike.
The whale watching and the sheer scale of the headland make it a genuine local favorite, though the wind here is a near constant and worth dressing for.

A path leads from parking to the sheltered beach; blufftop trails circle the headland itself.
Dogs are not allowed at Bodega Head under Sonoma Coast State Park rules.
