Brant Rock Beach
Marshfield, MA
Brant Rock Beach is a public ocean beach at Ocean Street and Dyke Road in Marshfield, with seasonal lifeguards, restrooms, and a seawall backed by a tight cluster of beach cottages. Brant Rock has a working, salty character: fishing boats, clam shacks, and a swell that draws surfers in the off season.
The salty, unfussy character and steady surf make it a Marshfield favorite, though the seawall and small beach are busy on hot days.
How we score beachesNon-residents can pay to park on a daily basis. Weekday mornings are calm, and the sunrise over the water is worth the early start.
Resident sticker parking, plus a daily non-resident fee. Check the town's beach page for current rates.
Restrooms and lifeguards are on site, with paved parking near the sand. A seawall runs behind the beach.
Summer is peak season for swimming and lifeguards. Fall and winter storms bring big waves and can send spray over the seawall.
