Carkeek Park

Seattle, WA

UncrowdedScenic

Carkeek Park's beach is reached by a pedestrian bridge over the BNSF railway, a sand and gravel shoreline that opens up into roughly 20 more acres of intertidal habitat at low tide. It's one of the better tide pooling spots in the city, backed by a 216-acre forested ravine with six miles of trails and a salmon bearing creek.

Well loved and genuinely distinctive for its tide pools, though it sits a bit further from the city center than Alki or Golden Gardens.
