Cedar Creek Beach
Lanoka Harbor, NJ

Cedar Creek Beach serves the Lanoka Harbor section of Lacey Township, another of the township's small guarded freshwater beaches rather than a bay or ocean spot. A ten dollar badge covers anyone five and older, sold at the recreation office rather than at the beach itself.
A reliable, low key neighborhood option for Lanoka Harbor families, though the limited badge office hours are a real inconvenience for anyone visiting on short notice.
How we score beachesBuy the badge ahead of time at the recreation office. The limited hours there, weekday mornings and Saturday mornings only in season, catch people off guard if they show up expecting to pay at the gate.
A lot serves the beach off Forrest Avenue, generally easy to find a spot given the beach's small, local scale.
A flat walk from the lot leads to the lake beach, manageable for strollers.
Dogs aren't permitted at this beach.
Being a freshwater lake, the water here warms up earlier in the season than the bay or ocean, comfortable for swimming by late May or June.
