Chambers Landing
Homewood, CA
Chambers Landing is a small public beach on national forest land between Homewood and Tahoma. It sits next to the Chambers Landing Bar & Grill, one of the oldest waterfront bars on Lake Tahoe and home of the Chambers Punch. The sand is limited, the water is very clear, and everything moves at a relaxed pace.
A classic West Shore afternoon with a historic bar next door, but the beach is small and parking is tight.
How we score beachesSwim first, then order a Chambers Punch on the pier. It's stronger than it tastes, so plan your drive home.
Free parking along the paved entrance road only; there's no lot.
A short walk from the entrance road to the sand.
Dogs must be on leash.
The bar runs seasonally in summer, which is also when the beach sees the most people. Off-season, it's a peaceful West Shore stop.
