Chetzemoka Park
Port Townsend, WA
Chetzemoka Park is a bluff top city park over Admiralty Inlet, named for the S'Klallam leader Chetzemoka, with a stairway and partial ADA ramp dropping from the flower garden lawn down to a gravel and cobble beach. At mid to low tide, the beach connects on foot toward Fort Worden to the north or Point Hudson and downtown to the south.
A beloved local park with a real beach connection rather than just a garden overlook, held back only by the stairs limiting easy wheelchair access to the sand.
How we score beachesCheck the tide before planning a longer walk. The connective beach route toward Fort Worden or Point Hudson only really works at mid to low tide.
Free city park; ADA-accessible restrooms and trails, though the beach itself is reached by stairs.
