Cline Spit County Park
Sequim, WA
Cline Spit County Park is a small beach on the eastern edge of Dungeness Bay, built around a boat and kayak launch with steady wind that draws windsurfers and kiteboarders. Views stretch across the bay toward Dungeness Spit.
A real, free public beach with steady wind for windsurfers, but small and mostly a launch point rather than a place to spend the day.
How we score beachesOnly the first half of the spit road is public. The rest is gated private land, so don't be surprised when the road ends sooner than expected.
Free, small county park lot.
A short, flat walk from the lot to the beach and launch.
Wind is fairly consistent year round, which is exactly what draws the windsurfing crowd. Summer is the most comfortable season to be out on the water.
