Crescent Beach (Owls Head)
Owls Head, ME
Crescent Beach at Ginn Point in Owls Head is a sand and gravel arc, mostly owned by cottagers. The public is allowed on only a sliver of sand opposite the small lot at the end of Crescent Beach Road. It is a lovely curve of shore, and a reminder to stay within the public part.
A pretty crescent of sand, but only a small part is public and parking is limited.
How we score beachesStay on the public sliver of sand near the lot and respect the private property beyond it. Parking is limited, so arrive early.
A small lot at the end of Crescent Beach Road. Very limited.
A short walk from the lot to the sand.
Summer is the best time, and the water is cold. Fall brings clear air.
