Dave Mackie Memorial County Park
Clinton, WA
Dave Mackie Memorial County Park sits on Maxwelton Beach near Clinton, a five acre park with a wide, golden sand beach that's a genuine summer swimming and sunbathing spot rather than just a walk. It hosts the local Maxwelton 4th of July parade, and a playground and ball fields make it a real family park, not just a beach.
A genuinely nice sandy family beach with real amenities for a county park, well documented and well used.
How we score beachesShellfish harvest is closed here year round, so don't plan on digging clams even though the sand looks inviting for it.
Parking for about 50 vehicles; portable toilets and picnic tables on site.
