Deauville Beach

Rehoboth Beach, DE

UncrowdedScenic

Deauville Beach sits between the north end of Rehoboth Beach and Henlopen Acres, a 600 yard stretch now run by Delaware State Parks after decades under the town's own management. The boardwalk scene ends here, replaced by a quieter paid lot and a beach that rarely fills up even on a busy August Saturday.

A real escape from the boardwalk crowd within walking distance of downtown Rehoboth, though the parking fee and limited lot size are worth planning around.

How we score beaches
Local Tip

The lot charges $15 on weekdays and $20 on weekends, but walking or biking in from Rehoboth's boardwalk is free and only takes about fifteen minutes along the beach.

Parking

A paid lot off Surf Avenue runs $15 weekdays and $20 weekends in season, open 8am to sunset. Walk-ins and bikes don't pay.

Accessibility

The lot opens directly onto the sand with no boardwalk or stairs, a short flat walk in.

Weather & the best time to visit

The same Memorial Day to Labor Day season as the rest of the Delaware coast applies here, with water in the 70s by midsummer, but the crowds stay noticeably thinner than Rehoboth's boardwalk beach even in August.
