Devereux Beach
Marblehead, MA
Devereux Beach is Marblehead's main beach, 5.48 acres of sand on the causeway that connects Marblehead Neck to the mainland. It has pavilions, benches, picnic tables, restrooms, and a restaurant. The view looks out over open water and passing sailboats.
A proper town beach with a restaurant and a causeway view is well loved, but non-resident fees apply and dogs are not allowed.
How we score beachesNon-residents can use the main Devereux lot or the Riverhead lot. Residents with a facility sticker have their own lot in season.
Non-resident parking runs about $25 to $30 a day in season, with credit cards accepted. A separate lot serves residents with a facility sticker.
Pavilions, benches, restrooms, and a restaurant sit right beside the beach, and the walk from the lot is short.
Dogs are not permitted on the beach.
Summer weekends are busy, with the water at its warmest in August. Fall days are calm and sunny.
