Devil's Slide Trail runs along a former stretch of Highway 1 so unstable it was eventually bypassed by a tunnel, now a paved blufftop trail high above the water with genuinely dramatic drop-offs on one side. It's an easy, flat walk despite the intense scenery, open to walkers and cyclists rather than cars.

Genuinely dramatic scenery for such an easy, flat walk, a rare combination on this coast, though it's a bluff trail rather than a beach.

Accessibility

A paved, flat trail runs the length of the former highway right-of-way.

Pets

Dogs are welcome; check posted signage for specific leash rules.
