Dungeness Landing County Park
Sequim, WA
Dungeness Landing sits on the outer edge of Dungeness Bay, a small waterfront park with sweeping views out to the Dungeness Spit lighthouse and, on a clear day, Mount Baker across the water. A covered birding platform makes it a regular stop for the binocular crowd, and a high-water boat launch keeps it useful for paddlers too.
Easy, free, and scenic with real views toward the spit and lighthouse, but it's a viewpoint and launch more than a beach to spend an afternoon on.
How we score beachesBring binoculars even if birding isn't the plan. The covered platform makes it easy to just stand and watch the spit and the boat traffic for a while.
Free parking, full-service restroom on site.
