Fair Haven Beach State Park
Fair Haven, NY
Fair Haven Beach State Park sits on Lake Ontario between Little Sodus Bay and Sterling Pond, with a sandy beach backed by high bluffs. It's one of the most scenic parks on the lake's southern shore, with a campground, cabins, and trails along the bluff tops.
Sandy beaches under high bluffs, though it's busy with campers in summer.
How we score beachesWalk the bluff trail for views up and down the shore, then cool off at the beach.
A New York State Parks vehicle use fee applies in season.
Paths lead from the lots to the sand; bluff trails are steep in places.
Lifeguards are on duty in summer. The bluffs are beautiful in fall.

New Buffalo City Beach is the first real Lake Michigan beach you hit crossing from Indiana, a wide stretch of sand at the end of Whittaker Street beside the harbor and the Galien River channel. Warren Dunes State Park
Sawyer, MI · Great Lakes
Warren Dunes State Park in Sawyer has roughly three miles of Lake Michigan shoreline and some of the tallest dunes in southwest Michigan.
