Surfers work a cold, advanced break just offshore, while the Coastal Trail nearby extends the views further along the bluffs.

Leashed dogs are welcome on the grounds around Fort Point, but pets are not allowed inside the historic fort building.
Fog is common here most of the year, sometimes clearing inland while the fort itself stays socked in. Water stays cold year round.
