Fuller Street Beach
Edgartown, MA
Fuller Street Beach is a small harbor beach at the end of Fuller Street near Eel Pond in Edgartown. The water is extremely shallow, which makes it a favorite with toddlers and parents who want a no stress afternoon. It has none of the scale of the south shore beaches, and that is the appeal.
Perfect for very small kids and a short walk from town, but parking is a handful of spaces and there are no facilities.
How we score beachesGo around mid day at low tide when the shallows are warmest. Come early on summer days because the tiny lot fills almost immediately.
There is a small free lot with room for only a handful of cars, roughly six to eight spaces.
The path from the lot to the sand is short and the shore slopes gently into shallow water. There are no built facilities.
Leashed dogs are permitted.
Harbor water warms quickly and holds its heat into September, so late summer afternoons are best.
