Garth's Beach curves along the bluffs just outside Crescent City, a long stretch of sand that stays mostly quiet even when the more visible beaches in town fill up. Tide pools show up along the rocky edges at low tide, and the bluff top trail above gives a wider view of the curve than you get from the sand itself.

Like the rest of Crescent City's beaches, water stays cold year round and summer mornings tend to start foggy. Low tide is when the rocky edges and tide pools are worth the visit.
