Hoppy's Landing
Fairhaven, MA
Hoppy's Landing is a small sandy beach beside a boat ramp and wooden pier at the West Island causeway in Fairhaven. It is open dawn to dusk, and the causeway view runs over marsh and water in both directions. A crushed shell lot handles parking, and the site is ADA accessible.
Accessible, dog friendly and well placed on the causeway, but the beach is small and shares the space with boaters.
How we score beachesIt is a working boat ramp, so watch for trailers and give launching boats plenty of room. Most swimmers stay well to the side of the ramp.
A crushed shell lot, $10 a day or $70 a year.
The site is ADA accessible, with a crushed shell lot and level access.
Dogs are permitted.
Summer evenings bring long light over the causeway. In the shoulder seasons the pier is a good spot for a quiet walk.
