Houghton Beach Park
Kirkland, WA
Houghton Beach Park, officially the Doris Cooper Houghton Beach Park, is a sandy Lake Washington swim beach with Seattle skyline views across the water, a swim dock, sand volleyball, and lifeguards through the summer. The lot only holds about 25 cars, so it stays smaller and more local than Kirkland's bigger beaches.
A real guarded beach with a genuinely good skyline view most Lake Washington beaches don't offer, kept modest by its small lot.
How we score beachesThe 25-space lot is genuinely small, so arrive early on a warm weekend or plan to circle for street parking.
