A free lot sits right at the park, easily reached from Lanai City, and rarely fills given how few people make it out to Lanai at all.
A short, flat, paved path connects the lot to the sand, with tide pools and a shallow reef arc that make it easy and safe for kids to explore.
Dogs are not permitted at Hulopoe Beach Park.
Summer brings the calmest water and the best visibility for snorkeling the reserve's reef, while winter can bring bigger south swells that stir up the bay.

Hulopoe Beach Park
The main entrance on the south side of the bay, with the free lot, tide pools, and the widest stretch of sand for spreading out.
Parking: A free lot sits right at the park, easily reached from Lanai City, and rarely fills given how few people make it out to Lanai at all.

The island's main boat harbor, just around the point from Hulopoe, where the Maui ferry docks and a small pebble beach at the east corner draws divers and snorkelers to its own patch of reef.
Parking: A lot serves the harbor directly off Manele Road, shared by ferry passengers, boaters, and anyone walking over to Hulopoe.
Local tip: If you're arriving by ferry from Maui, it's an easy ten minute walk from the harbor over to Hulopoe's sand rather than driving.
