Indian Neck Beach
Wellfleet, MA
Indian Neck Beach is a spacious Wellfleet Harbor beach surrounded by water on several sides, with harbor views across the bay. The flats run out at low tide, and the water is calm and shallow at high tide. It is a relaxed town beach with a friendly local following.
Calm water, harbor views and plenty of space make it a favorite, though tide swings shape the day.
How we score beachesCheck the tide table. At high tide you get warm, shallow swimming, and at low tide the flats stretch out far.
Wellfleet town beach stickers or daily passes are needed in season. Check the town for current rates.
The lot is close to the sand, with a short approach. The beach is soft underfoot.
Summer is warmest, and harbor water warms faster than ocean water. Fall evenings are calm and clear.
