Iona's Beach

Two Harbors, MN

ScenicUncrowded

Iona's Beach is a Scientific and Natural Area near mile marker 42 on Highway 61, where the shore is covered in smooth, flat pink rhyolite stones. When the waves pull back through the pebbles, they make a soft, almost musical tinkling sound. The beach is protected, so collecting stones is not allowed.
