Jarrell Cove State Park
Harstine Island, WA
Jarrell Cove State Park is a 67-acre forested park at the south end of Puget Sound on Harstine Island, 3,500 feet of shoreline better experienced by boat but reachable by road from the island itself. Camping, beachcombing, clamming, crabbing, swimming, scuba diving, and windsurfing all happen here, a genuine multi-use park even if boaters get the best of it.
Genuine and scenic, though clearly built more around boat access than a drive-up beach day.
How we score beachesDrive in if a car is the plan; the island connects by a bridge, so this isn't ferry-only despite feeling remote.
