Kahe Point Beach Park

Everyone calls it Electric Beach, for the power plant looming right behind the parking lot, and the warm water discharge just offshore draws an unusual amount of marine life, including spinner dolphins on a good morning. The entry itself is narrow and funnels waves hard, with a steep drop off that catches inexperienced swimmers off guard.
Genuinely excellent snorkeling and a real shot at spinner dolphins, but the tricky entry and strong currents have caught more than a few visitors off guard.

A lot with a lifeguard tower sits right at the park off Farrington Highway.

Best snorkeling conditions come in summer, when the water's calmest and clearest for spotting fish near the outflow.
