Kalaeʻōʻio Beach Park

Kalaeʻōʻio Beach Park sits on a small rocky point between Kahaluu and Kaʻaʻawa, a modest county park used mostly by local fishermen rather than swimmers, thanks to a shallow, uneven reef shelf running along most of the shoreline. Waiahole and Kahaluu's taro country sits just inland, giving the drive here a genuinely rural feel.
A genuine local fishing spot with a rural, unhurried feel, but there's very little sand and swimming isn't really an option here.

A small lot sits off Kamehameha Highway at the park.
Flat but uneven, rocky ground leads to the shoreline, not a sand entry.
Calmer in summer, winter surf and wind make the exposed rocky point rougher.
