Kettle Cove
Cape Elizabeth, ME
Kettle Cove is a small cove in Cape Elizabeth with tide pools, a short stretch of sand, and rocky ledges. It is a good place to look for crabs and sea stars at low tide, and the sheltered water suits small children. The cove is easy to pair with a longer walk along the shore.
Excellent for tide pooling and small kids, but it is tiny and the lot fills early.
How we score beachesGo at low tide with a bucket and look under the rockweed. Kids usually spend an hour just in the tide pools.
A small lot serves the cove and fills quickly on summer weekends. Check signs for any fees.
