Kimbles Beach

Kimbles Beach is one of the smallest and least developed of the Delaware Bay shorebird viewing beaches in Middle Township, a quiet stretch that draws birders more than swimmers. Along with neighboring Reeds and Cooks Beaches, it closes to general beach use each spring during the horseshoe crab spawning and shorebird migration season, typically early May through early June.
A genuinely important piece of the Delaware Bay shorebird migration story, though the seasonal closures and minimal facilities mean it's a niche destination rather than a regular swimming beach.

Informal, limited parking is available near the beach, considerably smaller in scale than the more developed lot at nearby Reeds Beach.

Bay water warms into the mid to upper 70s by August. Mid May through early June is peak horseshoe crab spawning season, when the beach is closed to general use to protect the migrating shorebirds that feed on their eggs.
