Brewster, MA

A calm, quiet bay beach with decent parking, though it lacks lifeguards and standout features.
How we score beachesCheck the tide chart before you go. High tide gives the best swimming, while low tide is best for walking out to the tidal pools.
A Brewster beach permit is required from mid June through the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. The lot holds about two dozen cars.
The lot is a short walk from the sand, which is soft underfoot. There are no lifeguards.
Dogs are prohibited from mid May to mid September.
Summer is warmest, with calm water at high tide. Fall brings quiet days and clear evenings.
