Loveladies occupies the quieter, more upscale northern stretch of Long Beach Township, known as much for the LBI Foundation of the Arts and Sciences as for its beach. Four free access points, Dolphin Lane, Coast Avenue, Loveladies Lane, and Seashell Lane, lead onto the sand along with parking on most of the secondary streets.

A genuinely upscale, artsy stretch of the island that stays calmer than its neighbors even in peak season, though the lack of any real commercial center means you'll need to drive for food or supplies.

How we score beaches
Local Tip

Check out the Foundation of the Arts and Sciences if you're already here. It's an easy add on to a beach day and gives the visit more shape than sand alone.

Parking

Free parking is available at four named access points off Long Beach Boulevard, plus most secondary streets.

Accessibility

Each access point offers a flat, short walk to the sand, with no boardwalk or stairs involved.

Pets

Dogs aren't permitted on Long Beach Township beaches between mid May and the end of September.

Weather & the best time to visit

Water warms into the low to mid 70s by August, consistent with the rest of Long Beach Island. The quieter, more residential feel here holds even during the busiest weeks of summer.
