Lynn Beach is part of the DCR's Lynn Shore Reservation along Lynn Shore Drive, a long public sandy shore backed by the boulevard and a walkway. Street parking runs along the drive, and the walkway is open to dogs year round. It is a broad, local city beach with a wide-open view of the bay.
A big, free public beach with a good walkway, but busy weekends and the city setting keep it plain.

A walkway follows the drive beside the beach, so access from the street is flat.
Dogs are not allowed on the beach from April 1 to September 15, service animals excepted. Dogs are allowed on the walkway year round.
Summer weekends bring crowds. Fall and winter walks on the walkway are bracing and quiet.
