Mauna Lahilahi Beach Park

A small volcanic hill splits Mauna Lahilahi Beach Park into two coves, each calmer than the open coast thanks to the point's shelter. Local families climb the short hill for the view more often than tourists do, and the whole park has a neighborhood feel that's rare this far out on the Waiʻanae coast.
The little hill and its two sheltered coves make this a genuinely fun stop, but it's still a small park without much shade beyond what the hill itself throws.

Flat sand leads to both coves from the lot, though the hill trail itself is a short, somewhat steep scramble.
Calmest in summer, winter swells reach into the coves more than the sheltered point suggests they would.
