Megansett Beach
Falmouth, MA
Megansett Beach is a neighborhood beach on the North Falmouth peninsula, facing Buzzards Bay. Local families use it heavily, and evening sunsets over the bay are the highlight. It is a sticker beach with limited parking, so it stays modest in size and quiet compared with Old Silver Beach a few miles south.
A true neighborhood beach with excellent sunsets, though the sticker rule and small lot keep casual visitors out.
How we score beachesShow up for the sunset instead of midday, when the light over the bay is at its best. You will need a Falmouth beach sticker.
A beach sticker is required and parking is limited. Check with Falmouth for current sticker rules.
A small neighborhood lot sits near the beach; check on arrival for the path to the sand.
Bay water is warmest from late July through August. Sunsets are the seasonal draw on clear evenings.
