Mukilteo Lighthouse Park
Mukilteo, WA
Mukilteo Lighthouse Park has about 1,500 feet of sandy Puget Sound shoreline, one of the more accessible, ADA-friendly beaches in urban Snohomish County, anchored by the historic Mukilteo Light Station. Ferry traffic and current keep this more of a walk, picnic, and sunset beach than a swimming one, with legal fire pits and a boat launch besides.
A real, iconic lighthouse beach that's genuinely accessible and well documented, distinctive even without being a strong swim destination.
How we score beachesCome for sunset and the lighthouse rather than a swim; the current and ferry traffic here make it better suited to walking the sand than getting in the water.
One of the more ADA-friendly shorelines in the county, with accessible paths near the lighthouse.
