Museum Beach
Scituate, MA
Museum Beach is a short stretch of sand on Scituate's shore between Peggotty and Sand Hills, one of the town's six oceanfront beach areas. It is named for the maritime museum nearby, and it feels like a neighborhood beach with the same quiet crowd and seasonal sticker requirements as the rest of Scituate.
A quiet, low key beach that Scituate locals use, though there is little to set it apart from its neighbors.
How we score beachesScituate requires a beach sticker or day pass in season, so plan your parking before you arrive. It is a quieter option next to Sand Hills.
A town beach sticker or day pass is required from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Check with the recreation department for current lots and rules.
Reached by a short walk to the sand. Check the town's beach page for current facilities.
Summer is the busiest season. Fall walks are quiet and cool.
