Newcastle Beach Park
Bellevue, WA
Newcastle Beach Park is Bellevue's largest beach park at 29 acres, an open sandy beach with a 300-foot floating dock and a gentle sloped entry that makes it easy for younger swimmers. Lifeguards work the beach in season, and a life jacket loaner program and full restrooms and showers back it up.
Large, family friendly, and well equipped with a genuine floating dock, a real destination on the Eastside rather than just a neighborhood stop.
How we score beachesThe gentle sloped entry genuinely makes this one of the easier Lake Washington beaches for small kids compared to steeper-entry spots nearby.
Lifeguards typically work late June through early September, roughly noon to 7pm.
