Nimitz Beach

Nimitz Beach sits within the old Kalaeloa airfield grounds, a wide, undeveloped stretch of white sand that draws campers and locals looking for space without the drive out to the North Shore. The lack of development is part of the appeal. This is one of the few beaches on this side of the island that still feels genuinely open.
Wide open sand and real elbow room that's rare this close to town, but there's nothing here beyond the beach itself, no shade, no real facilities.

Flat sand leads from the lot to open water, no stairs, though no paved path either.
