North Tahoe Beach
Kings Beach, CA
North Tahoe Beach is a 2.7 acre public beach park with about 540 feet of shoreline on the west side of Kings Beach. It's a smaller, more low-key option than Kings Beach State Recreation Area, just a short walk away. It sees a fraction of the foot traffic of the big state beach.
A calmer alternative to its bigger neighbor, but small with few amenities.
How we score beachesUse it as the quieter overflow when Kings Beach is packed; it's close enough to walk between them.
Parking is limited; check posted signs for current rules.
A short walk from the road to the sand.
Summer afternoons are warmest here, and September brings calm, uncrowded days.
