Oceanfront Park
Boynton Beach, FL

Oceanfront Park gives Boynton Beach a proper family setup, with a playground split for younger and older kids, grilling stations, and a volleyball court all within sight of the sand. It's open sunrise to 9pm year round, later than most nearby beach parks, with lifeguards on duty through the afternoon.
The playground and picnic setup make it a reliable family pick, though the parking fee doubles in snowbird season right when demand is highest.
How we score beachesParking runs 5 dollars a car in the warmer months and jumps to 10 dollars from mid-November through April when snowbird crowds arrive. An annual decal from City Hall is worth it if you'll be back more than a handful of times.
Parking is 5 dollars per vehicle from May through mid-November and 10 dollars the rest of the year; annual permits are available at City Hall.
The beach is a short, flat walk from the parking lot past the pavilions and playground.
Dogs are not allowed on the beach at Oceanfront Park except during the monthly 'Oceanfront Bark' event held on winter Saturdays, when leashed dogs can access a fenced section of sand.
Winter and spring bring South Florida's driest, mildest weather and the biggest snowbird crowds. Summer's heat and hurricane season, June through November, thin things out despite the warmest water of the year.
