Pedro Point Headlands is a rocky viewpoint reached by trail from the Devil's Slide parking area, looking south over Linda Mar and north toward the rest of Pacifica's coastline. It's a good short add-on if you're already stopping for Devil's Slide and want a wider view of the same stretch of coast.

A genuinely good wide view of the coastline for very little extra effort beyond Devil's Slide, though it's a viewpoint rather than a beach.

How we score beaches
Local Tip

Combine this with the Devil's Slide Trail rather than treating it as a separate stop, the two share a parking area and the walk between them is short.

Parking

No fee, though the CCC records no formal parking area; use the Devil's Slide lot.

Accessibility

A trail leads from the Devil's Slide parking area to the headland viewpoint.

Pets

Dogs are welcome on all trails at Pedro Point Headlands as long as they stay on leash.

Weather & the best time to visit

Fog is common most mornings year round, typical of this stretch of the San Mateo coast.
