Point St. George Heritage Area

Point St. George Heritage Area sits at the end of Radio Road in Crescent City, a rocky headland with a sand beach tucked below and a clear offshore view of the St. George Reef Lighthouse. The reef and tide pools here are ecologically sensitive, so this is more a walk and look spot than a place to climb through the rocks.
The lighthouse view and tide pools are genuinely worth the stop, but the sensitive habitat here rewards a careful visit more than a typical beach day.

Dogs are allowed on a six-foot leash on the beach and trails at Point St. George.
Fog is common through summer mornings on this stretch of coast, usually burning off by afternoon. Winter storms bring the biggest swells and the best chance of seeing real surf hit the lighthouse.
