Point Vicente Park

The lighthouse opens for public tours one Saturday a month, and the blufftop here is a well-known spot for watching the gray whale migration pass close to shore each winter.

Paved paths run along the blufftop; the shoreline below is rocky and not directly accessible from the park.
Leashed dogs are allowed in the developed park area around Point Vicente, but not on the adjacent Nature Preserve blufftop trails.
Winter into early spring is prime gray whale migration season along this stretch of coast.
