Possession Point State Park
Clinton, WA
Possession Point State Park sits at the very southern tip of Whidbey Island, the closest point on the island to Seattle, a small pebble and gravel beach with a steep trail up to an overlook and skyline views across the Sound. A nearby Port of South Whidbey waterfront park, Possession Beach, offers a second small access close by.
Real and scenic, with a genuine skyline view most Whidbey beaches don't offer, but small, gravel, and modest in amenities.
How we score beachesThe overlook trail is short but steep, worth the climb for the Seattle skyline view even if the beach itself is modest.
About ten parking spots; a vault toilet is on site. A Discover Pass is likely required, standard for state park lots.
