Potlatch State Park
Potlatch, WA
Potlatch State Park sits directly on Hood Canal at Annas Bay, a 57-acre park and a genuine clam digging destination where Manila clams run abundant in the mid to upper intertidal zone. Easy roadside access right along Highway 101 makes this one of the more convenient Hood Canal stops, also used for windsurfing, kayaking, and swimming.
A legitimate, well documented, multi-activity Hood Canal beach with genuinely easy highway access.
How we score beachesCheck the current WDFW shellfish safety map before digging; Hood Canal has a real pattern of seasonal and emergency biotoxin closures, so don't assume the season is open without checking first.
A Discover Pass is required.
