Powers Landing
Wellfleet, MA
Powers Landing is a small Wellfleet Harbor beach just west of Mayo Beach, with a more relaxed feel and fewer people. The tide pulls out far, leaving flats that hold shells and small creatures. The view runs across Wellfleet Harbor toward Great Island.
A quiet alternative to Mayo Beach with harbor views, but it is small and offers few facilities.
How we score beachesHead here if Mayo Beach feels busy. The landing is small, so it works best on off peak days.
Wellfleet town beach stickers or daily passes are needed in season. Parking is limited at the landing.
The approach is short, with soft sand at the water. There is no boardwalk.
Summer is warmest, and the harbor water is calm. Fall evenings are peaceful, with few people around.
