Puaʻena Point Beach Park

Puaʻena Point sits just north of Haleiwa harbor, a small park known locally for sunset views over the point and a shallow inner reef that makes for an easy beginner surf and snorkel spot. It's a quieter alternative to the busier Haleiwa beaches just a few minutes south.
A genuinely good sunset spot with easy beginner water, but it's small enough that it can't really absorb a crowd.

A small free lot sits off Kamehameha Highway near the harbor.
Flat, sandy paths lead from the lot to the beach, easy walking.
Calmest and best for snorkeling in summer, winter surf can make the point choppier.
