Pūpūkea Beach Park

Pūpūkea Beach Park covers two very different spots under one name. Shark's Cove, at the north end, is a rocky, lava rimmed pool packed with fish and coral that draws snorkelers all summer, while Three Tables, just south, offers calmer, sandier entry for a similar reef. Despite the name, sharks are rarely the concern here, big winter surf is.
Some of the best easy access snorkeling on Oahu in summer, but the same rocky coastline turns hazardous in winter, and the name confuses more tourists than it should.
